Requirements to Married in the Cook Islands
To obtain a wedding license in the Cook Islands the Justice Department will need to view full Birth Certificates, Passports as well as Divorce Decree and if 
widow/widower, Death Certificate of former spouse.
These documents must be original and written in the English language or accompanied with a certified English translation.
Three working days prior to the wedding are required to process the marriage licence however, if unable to include the required days then we can
apply for a wedding licence waiver at an additional cost of NZ$75.00. We also ask that you fill in the attached Notice of Intended Marriage and send to us via email or fax with the above mentioned documents for checking prior to their arrival.

**It is imperative for you to bring all Original documents when you come to the Cook Islands to present in person to the Marriage Registry on day of submission of your Marriage Application**

We strongly recommend you also seek the advice of legal council regarding requirements to register your Marriage in your country of residence.

everafterweddings.rarotonga  will not be held responsible for any additional legal costs regarding the authentication and registration of wedding documents in countries of residence.

Should you wish documents to be sent to any other jurisdiction would be at your own responsibility and costs.


Terms & Conditions
All prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars 
• All prices are inclusive of government taxes at existing rates (12.5% VAT), any tax increase will 
be passed on 
• To secure your wedding date a 30% non-refundable deposit must be made of selected wedding 
package cost. Your wedding coordinator will send through the relevant forms once package is 
confirmed. 
• All prices within our Wedding kit together with terms & conditions shown above are current at 
this time and are subject to change at any time without prior notice, (except in the case where 
an existing booking for a particular service is confirmed and full deposit/Payment has been 
received by everafterweddings.rarotonga 
• The Inclusions in all wedding Kit are on an availability basis 
• Full payment of total wedding; including optional extras must be received 60 days prior to 
scheduled wedding date. 
• Payment can be made by telegraphic transfer to our Bank account in Rarotonga, Cook 
Islands Westpac Bank, PO Box 42 Rarotonga, Cook Islands. 
Your wedding Planner will advise account details
• As part of the payment process we require a remittance advice detailing invoice(s) being paid. 
• This can be scanned and emailed to everafterweddingsrarotonga@gmail.com
• Bank Fees: All bank charges are the responsibility of the sender i.e. the payment received as 
cleared funds in our account must equal the invoiced amount. 
 
Sundays/ Public Holidays: 
• A 50% surcharge fee of the total bill applies to weddings scheduled on public holidays or on a 
Sunday. 
• Cancellations of weddings are subject to cancellation fees as stated below unless notified 61 
days in advance. 
• Cancellations must be in writing at all times, verbal changes will not be accepted nor honored. 
• Any wedding cancelled between thirty (30) and sixty (60) days of the wedding will incur a 50% 
cancellation fee. 
• Weddings cancelled thirty (30) days or less from the date of the wedding or no shows will be 
charged a 100% cancellation fee. 
• Cancellation/ Changes everafterweddings will not be liable for compensation in the event we 
are forced to provide limited services, cancel or change your booking in any way as a result of 
situations outside our control which are not foreseen or avoid they are the following, Whether, 
Industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire or flooding 
• The client is responsible for any damage, outsourced ceremony/ reception  property, caused by guests 
attending the event. An additional fee may be charged for replacement, cleaning the damaged, 
soiled ceremony/ reception venue property. 
• everafterweddings will not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of any equipment, 
Merchandise or personal effects left on  premises prior to, during, or after the reception 
• Postponement of wedding is subject to a postponement fee of 25% of the total fee.


Italian Weddings
For Italian Weddings should you wish to lodge a 'Transcription Of Matrimonial Assets' / Seperation Of Assets it is generally required there will be costs for notarization in their own home principalities on return to their country. These costs are NOT included in package costing and are your responsibility. We advise Bride & Groom must check with their Municipality Office if this is the case.  Everafterweddings will lodge marriage documents via registered mail, your wedding planner will advise once these documents have been received by the New Zealand Italian Embassy in Wellington. If assistance with processing Transcription Of Matrimonial Assets' to be sent to the Italian Consulate in Wellington, New Zealand as required by the Italian Government, is desired in the Cook Islands, there is an additional Service Fee of $200.
